Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district, recently shared several updates on her official social media account. Her posts highlight her ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, paying tribute to former colleagues, and advocating for education.

On November 16, Rep. Kaptur marked America Recycles Month by announcing a significant investment in local recycling infrastructure. She stated: "During #AmericaRecyclesMonth let’s keep working toward a greener future! Last month I Joined @LucasCountyOhio Commissioners Gerken, Sobecki & Lopez, and Toledo Councilman @NKomives to announce $5 Million to strengthen our local recycling infrastructure."

Two days later, on November 17, she paid homage to a former colleague from Ohio in the House of Representatives. In her words: "As Dean of the Ohio Delegation, it was an honor to lead the bipartisan House tribute to our distinguished former colleague from Ohio, Congressman David Hobson. Rest in peace, dear friend."

On November 18, Rep. Kaptur celebrated American Education Week by reflecting on her personal educational journey and recognizing educators' contributions: "Happy #AmericanEducationWeek! As the first in my family to graduate high school and college, I’ve seen firsthand how education transforms lives and communities. Today we honor our educators and students working hard to build a brighter future for all."
