Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 9th district, recently addressed urgent humanitarian concerns and participated in local cultural events through her social media posts.

On July 28, 2025, Kaptur highlighted the ongoing crisis in Gaza by stating, "While lasting peace and end to the conflict in Gaza must involve a return of hostages and end of Israeli military action, the need to get aid to starving people is urgent and must be swift. If action isn’t taken more innocent people will starve and die. Our nation and our world https://t.co/7bdLrYl00b". The following day, she shared a related link: ": https://t.co/yYNaGXjUc1".

In another post on July 29, 2025, Kaptur expressed appreciation for community engagement at a local event: "Thanks to all for the warm welcome at the All Saints Polish Festival in Rossford. Always love spending time enjoying our shared cultural heritage. https://t.co/vvXh5h5XMv".

Kaptur has represented Ohio’s 9th District since 1983 after succeeding Ed Weber. She was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946 and continues to reside there. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a BA earned in 1968, Kaptur remains active both nationally and within her local community.
