PUBLIC NOTICE: Availability of Federal Funding for CDBG, ESG, and HOME ARP

The City of Toledo announces the availability of federal funding for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) for the 2023 Program Year (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024).

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

CDBG applications will be accepted with a funding priority for the following programs/activities:

Housing PreservationApproximately $2,000,000
Public Service (15%)Approximately $1,100,000

Additional CDBG information

  • Special consideration will be given to Public Service Activities in Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas (NRSA’s).
  • Eligible applicants: 501 (c) 3 organizations, other nonprofits and government agencies.

Completed CDBG/ESG applications must be submitted through ZoomGrants. For additional information, please contact Monica Brown, Administrative Analyst IV, at monica.brown@toledo.oh.gov. The deadline for submitting CDBG and ESG applications is Friday, February 10, 2023 at 4:45 p.m.

HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)

HOME applications will be accepted from certified City of Toledo Community Housing and Development Organizations (CHDO) for the following projects that demonstrate a gap in financing, address the City of Toledo's affordable and special populations’ homeownership needs, and leverage HOME funds with other funding sources.

Completed applications must be submitted through ZoomGrants. For additional information, please contact Tiffanie McNair, Housing Commissioner, at tiffanie.mcnair@toledo.oh.gov. The deadline for submitting the HOME application is Friday, February 10, 2023 at 4:45 p.m.
