BINGHAMTON, NY – The Toledo men's tennis team picked up another win in New York state, defeating Binghamton 6-1 on Sunday. The Rockets also defeated Buffalo on Friday afternoon and are now 11-5, 3-2 in MAC play.

"Today was sort of a workmanlike performance, but in some ways very impressive," head coach Al Wermer said. "Binghamton always competes really hard, and that challenges us to get better every time."

Junior Pawit Sornlaksup led the way with singles and doubles wins. The Rayong, Thailand native won in two sets over Michael Pawlowicz at No. 1 singles to keep his winning streak alive at 36-straight matches and his conference record at 15-straight triumphs since last season. Sornlaksup also teamed with Krzysztof Wetoszka to capture a win at the No. 1 doubles court.

At No. 2 doubles, Wetoszka dropped his first set, but came back to win the next two sets to win the match and extend his winning streak to eight matches. Sornlaksup and Wetoszka are the only two Rockets who are 5-0 in conference singles play this season.

Marko Galic teamed with Adam Kovac at the No. 2 doubles court to help give Toledo wi nthe doubles point and claim a 1-0 match lead. The Rockets went on to win five of the six singles matches.
