The City along with YMCA of Greater Toledo and the Lucas County Health Department is thrilled to announce the launch of the MIND + BODY Youth Wellness Program, an immersive summer adventure in Toledo centered around six themed activities in your local park that promote physical and mental well-being. This innovative program’s initiative is dedicated to nurturing the holistic well-being of young individuals from 10 to 18 years of age. It aims to foster a balanced approach to mental, emotional, and physical wellness, equipping participants with invaluable tools for lifelong well-being.

The MIND + BODY Youth Wellness Program offers a unique blend of mindfulness, physical activity, personal development, and community building, empowering youth to cultivate a healthy mind and body while fostering a sense of connection and belonging.

Explore various dimensions of wellness through a carefully curated curriculum. Learn mindfulness and stress management techniques to enhance mental resilience and emotional well-being. Physical activities such as yoga, fitness classes, and outdoor adventures will promote physical fitness, coordination, and strength. Additionally, interactive workshops and discussions will focus on personal growth, leadership development, and fostering positive relationships.

"We are proud to announce the collaborative partnership between the City of Toledo, the YMCA of Greater Toledo, and the Lucas County Health Department in launching the MIND + BODY Youth Wellness Program," said Joe Fausnaugh, Director of Parks and Youth Services. "By joining forces, we are able to pool our resources and expertise to create a comprehensive program that will empower our youth with the tools and knowledge to lead healthy and fulfilling lives."
