Veo Powers Toledo with 850 Seated and Standing E-Scooters this Season

Following the winter hiatus, Veo is back on the streets of Toledo with 850 standing and seated e-scooters, providing a convenient, affordable, and sustainable transportation alternative for residents aged 18 and older, perfectly timed for spring and summer.

"Veo's innovative approach to urban mobility is transforming the way Toledo moves. With the convenience of their fleet and sustainable practices, Veo is a key player in making our city more accessible and eco-friendly,” Mayor Kapszukiewicz said.

Recent data from Veo's rider survey reveals the impact of shared e-scooters on Toledo's residents:

  • 33% of riders lack access to a personal vehicle, emphasizing Veo's vital role in providing a sustainable mobility option for residents.
  • 30% of Veo trips directly replace car trips, showcasing the service's tangible contribution to reducing thousands of car trips from Toledo streets annually.
  • 59% of riders successfully decrease car travel due to the availability of shared scooters and bikes, attesting to Veo's positive influence on personal transportation choices.
"With Veo's mixed fleet of seated and standing scooters, riders have the flexibility to select the vehicle that best suits their trip, be it commuting, connecting to transit, or simply exploring all that Toledo has to offer," Candice Xie, co-founder and CEO of Veo, said. “Veo is committed to collaborating with the City to ensure the program meets the evolving needs of the community for years to come.”

How to Ride

Find your ride: Riders aged 18+ can locate vehicles using the free Veo app.Unlock and go: Using the Veo app, riders scan a QR code and pay $1 to unlock the vehicle. Riders then pay $0.35/min to ride the standing Astro scooter and $0.40/min for seated Cosmo scooter.

End your ride: Upon completion of the ride, riders must park their vehicle upright. Vehicles should be parked in a corral or bike rack when possible, or on the perimeter of the sidewalk outside of the pedestrian right of way.Riders must take a photo within the app to confirm proper parking.
