Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district since 1983, has recently shared updates through social media about her engagements in Northwest Ohio. Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946 and an alumna of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Kaptur continues to focus on regional issues.

On November 23, Rep. Kaptur participated in an event focused on empowering women's entrepreneurship in Northwest Ohio. She noted the significance of this meeting by highlighting its alignment with Women's Entrepreneurship Day. In her tweet, she stated: "Empowering women’s entrepreneurship with @WIPPWeDecide session in NW Ohio. Earlier this week we marked #WomensEntrepreneurshipDay, so it was fitting time to join with this phenomenal group of women in business from across our region."

On November 26, she turned her attention to senior citizens by reminding those aged 60 and above in Northwest Ohio to utilize their Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits before their expiration on November 30th. She emphasized how these benefits could help enhance Thanksgiving meals: "Joined @ToledoAging today in reminding those 60+ across NW Ohio to use their Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits before they expire on November 30th. This is a great way to help fill your table for #Thanksgiving." Additionally, she provided a link for a full list of vendors.
