Assistance programs highlighted by Rep. Marcy Kaptur ahead of winter

Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district, recently addressed the issue of rising energy costs as winter approaches. In a series of tweets, she highlighted available assistance programs designed to help families manage heating expenses during the colder months.

On November 26, 2024, Rep. Kaptur emphasized the burden high energy costs can place on Ohio families in her tweet: "Winter is coming, and high energy costs can be a burden for many Ohio families. Keeping your home warm should never be a financial struggle. That’s why programs like HEAP and Winter Crisis are here to help." She included a link for further information about these programs.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Rep. Kaptur provided detailed instructions on how to apply for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
