Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district since 1983, recently shared her thoughts on various significant events through social media posts.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Kaptur commemorated the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. She stated, "Today, 83 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor we honor the memory of 2,400+ American lives lost on that harrowing day. We honor the enormous courage of those who ran headfirst into the fire and chaos to defend our homeland. All of their sacrifice must never be forgotten."

On December 8, 2024, she commented on recent developments in Syria following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. She expressed optimism for Syria's future by saying, "Today the Spiderweb of Tyranny has been weakened as we see stunning images of Liberty across Syria after the fall of dictator Bashar al-Assad. The days ahead are uncertain, but the Syrian people deserve a chance to rebuild a free nation of their choosing after decades of turmoil."

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Kaptur attended a holiday event hosted by the University of Toledo Department of Music. Reflecting on this experience she wrote, "What a joy to attend @UToledo Department of Music’s Holiday Showcase this weekend. Thanks to all involved for a jolly and festive evening as we approach the heart of the Holiday Season."
