Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district, has recently addressed several pressing issues through her social media platform. Her statements reflect concerns over national security, community accountability, and health advancements.

On February 3, 2025, Rep. Kaptur expressed concern about the influence of an "unelected Billionaire" on critical payment systems used by millions of Americans for Social Security payments, Medicare, and tax refunds. She emphasized the potential risks involved and called for transparency to prevent any breaches of personal information. "An unelected Billionaire is running rampant through the payment system millions of Americans rely on for their Social Security payments, Medicare, and tax refunds. This is very dangerous turf. Americans demand answers before their information is irreparably breached."

Later that day, she commemorated the second anniversary of the Norfolk Southern derailment in East Palestine. Rep. Kaptur acknowledged the lasting impact on residents' lives and reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring accountability and long-term health protections for those affected by the incident. "Two years ago, the lives of East Palestine residents were forever changed by the Norfolk Southern derailment. While we can’t undo the past, we must fight for their future."

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Kaptur marked World Cancer Day by honoring cancer survivors and remembering those who have succumbed to the disease. She reiterated her dedication to advancing cancer research and care as part of ongoing efforts to combat this illness globally."On #WorldCancerDay, we honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and renew our commitment to breakthroughs in cancer research and care."
