On February 7, 2025, Rep. Kaptur highlighted the impact of the bird flu outbreak on Ohio's egg production industry. She stated, "Ohio is the 2nd largest egg producing state in our nation. Nationwide, over 14 million egg laying birds have been killed since December due to the growing bird flu outbreak — egg costs are skyrocketing as a result." She emphasized the urgency of controlling this outbreak due to potential human infection rates.

In another tweet dated February 8, 2025, Rep. Kaptur discussed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), mentioning its financial impact and recent criticism from Elon Musk. She noted that "The CFPB costs $800 Million annually and has returned over $21 Billion to consumers cheated by banks, credit card companies, payday lenders, and scammers." Rep.
