Rep. Marcy Kaptur, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district, shared her views on recent developments through a series of tweets. Kaptur, who has been in office since 1983 after succeeding Ed Weber, highlighted local collaborations and expressed concerns over trade policies and veterans' issues.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Kaptur tweeted about Sauder Village joining the Ohio Creativity Trail in partnership with Am250Ohio. She stated: "Thrilled to see Sauder Village join the Ohio Creativity Trail in partnership with @Am250Ohio! This collaboration shines a spotlight on NW Ohio’s rich history and creative spirit. We’re working together to blend the old and new, keeping tradition alive while inspiring fresh ideas…"

The following day, March 4, 2025, she addressed economic concerns regarding international trade policies by stating: "The Trump Administration's imposition of a 25% tariff on US-Canada trade will severely impact jobs and companies in the Great Lakes region, including across Northwest Ohio. Canada is our best trading partner and these unneeded tariffs are about to raise your prices on everything."

Later that same day, Rep. Kaptur voiced her disapproval of actions perceived as disrespectful to veterans with a tweet saying: "This is a slap in the face to every veteran who has ever worn the uniform of the United States to serve the cause of Liberty."
