Rep. Marcy Kaptur, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 9th district, has recently shared her thoughts on pressing issues through a series of tweets. Her statements address concerns over Social Security, celebrate International Women's Day, and emphasize the importance of consumer protection.

On March 8, 2025, Rep. Kaptur expressed concern regarding Social Security: " Time to sound the alarm Not only are DOGE coming for Social Security, sources inside the Social Security Administration say they are close to breaking the system entirely and stopping your hard earned benefits from reaching you on time or at all."

Later that day, she acknowledged International Women's Day with a message celebrating women's achievements: "On #InternationalWomensDay, we celebrate the women who led the way for future generations. Standing on their shoulders we strive for a generation never constrained by the glass ceiling. Onward!"

On March 9, 2025, Rep. Kaptur highlighted National Consumer Protection Week amidst challenges faced by consumer protection agencies: "As DOGE works to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, #NationalConsumerProtectionWeek is more important than ever. Vigilance roots out scams and protects against cyber fraud." She encouraged people to visit resources available online for reporting and combating fraud.
