Rep. Marcy Kaptur, serving in the U.S. Congress since 1983, represents Ohio’s 9th district. Her recent social media posts capture a range of topics, from personal reflections on nature to significant political developments.

On April 28, 2025, Rep. Kaptur shared her sentiments on the beauty of spring in Northwest Ohio, noting "Spring beauty in full bloom in NW Ohio. Hard to leave these beauties for a busy week in Washington, but duty calls." This tweet underscores her appreciation for the region she represents.

Later the same day, Kaptur addressed "#WorkersMemorialDay" through her Twitter account, expressing solidarity with workers. She stated, "Today, on #WorkersMemorialDay, we honor the lives of the workers we’ve lost and stand with all who continue the fight for fair wages, and safe workplaces. As a proud daughter of the UAW, this is personal to me. I will always fight to protect the rights, dignity, and safety of."

The following day, on April 29, 2025, Kaptur criticized an exclusive club in Washington, DC. She questioned its motives with a pointed query, "You be the judge. Is a private Billionaire's club for the super rich in Washington, DC spearheaded by Donald Trump Jr., JD Vance, and their Billionaire buddies looking out for you? For the low price of $500,000 the richest of the rich are buying access to influence and power." This critique highlights her concerns about socioeconomic disparities and political influence.

Marcy Kaptur has had a long-standing legislative career, being a representative for Ohio’s 9th District since 1983, replacing Ed Weber. Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946, she completed her BA at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968 and remains a resident of Toledo.
