Rep. Marcy Kaptur, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Ohio’s 9th district since 1983, shared her reflections and opinions on recent historical commemorations and policy statements through a series of tweets.

On May 8, 2025, Rep. Kaptur marked the anniversary of an important historical event with her tweet: "Today we celebrate 80 years since Liberty’s victory over Tyranny in Europe during WWII. Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946, Marcy Kaptur is now aged 76 and continues to reside there. She completed her BA at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968 before embarking on her long political career.
