On May 12, 2025, Kaptur announced she would be holding a telephone town hall at 5:15 pm focusing on issues related to seniors and Social Security. She stated she would be joined by special guests Rep. John Larson and Max Richtman, President and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare (NCPSSM). She invited participants to join via a provided link "Tonight at 5:15 pm I will be holding a telephone town hall focused on issues relating to seniors and Social Security."
Later that day, Kaptur expressed gratitude towards Shawn Fain from the United Auto Workers (UAW) for participating in a discussion with the Labor Caucus about supporting autoworkers in Northwest Ohio and nationwide. She highlighted her personal connection to the UAW as its proud daughter, emphasizing the collective benefit when unions advocate for workers "Thankful to @ShawnFainUAW for joining the @Labor_Caucus for a fruitful discussion about how we can stand with autoworkers in NW Ohio and across our nation."
