Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district since 1983, has shared her thoughts on recent events via social media. On June 14, 2025, Kaptur expressed her concern regarding an incident in Minnesota, stating "Political violence is unAmerican. Praying for those affected, their families, and communities in Minnesota." Marcy Kaptur was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946 and continues to reside there. She holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, obtained in 1968.
