Rep. Marcy Kaptur, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district since 1983, has been active on social media sharing her engagements and concerns with her constituents.

On June 15, 2025, Rep. Kaptur extended warm wishes to fathers and father figures across Northwest Ohio and beyond for Father's Day. She expressed her hope that they would have an opportunity to relax and enjoy time with their loved ones. "Wishing all the Fathers, and father figures in NW Ohio, across the Buckeye State, and nationwide a Happy Father’s Day. May you get a chance to relax, and enjoy time spent with the one’s you love and nurture every day."

The following day, June 16, she celebrated the 10th annual TAPS Summer Polish Picnic at Oak Shade Grove in Oregon. In her message of gratitude towards volunteers, dancers, and vendors who contributed to showcasing Polish heritage in the region, she acknowledged their efforts in enriching cultural traditions. "Celebrated the 10th annual TAPS Summer Polish Picnic at Oak Shade Grove in Oregon this weekend. Thank you to the many volunteers, dancers, and vendors for helping to share our region’s rich culture of Polish heritage."

Later on June 16, Rep. Kaptur addressed concerns from veterans worried about potential denial of care by the Department of Veterans Affairs due to political affiliation or marital status. She called upon Secretary Doug Collins for a full briefing to Congress and requested transparency through relevant document releases."My office has received many calls from veterans worried they will be denied care by @DeptVetAffairs because of their political affiliation or marital status. I call on @SecVetAffairs Doug Collins to provide a full briefing to Congress and release all relevant documents."

Born in Toledo in 1946, Marcy Kaptur graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968 with a BA.
