On July 9, 2025, Kaptur expressed her appreciation for the youth involved in the Lucas County 4-H program. She stated, "As a member of the 4-H Caucus in Congress, grateful to see Lucas County 4-H youth leading with heart and compassion! This week at the Lucas County Fair, help Stock the Trailer with non-perishable food donations for SeaGate Food Bank. Bring canned goods on July 11 to receive". Marcy Kaptur was born in Toledo in 1946 and continues to reside there today. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968 with a BA degree, she has dedicated decades to public service as part of her commitment to her constituents.
