Rep. Marcy Kaptur announces internship applications and shares Ukraine briefing details

Rep. Marcy Kaptur, who represents Ohio’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account regarding congressional internships and briefings on Ukraine.

On July 16, 2025, Rep. Kaptur shared an announcement about internship opportunities in her office: "We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2025 internship cohort in our DC Office. Looking for hardworking, bright individuals that want to gain invaluable experience working in public service — apply by July 25th! You can find more info at: https://t.co/qkcUX6gNcH https://t.co/7vuqcV1enH". This message invites interested candidates to apply before the specified deadline.

Earlier that day, she posted another update without additional commentary: .

On July 17, 2025, Rep. Kaptur provided information about a recent briefing involving the Congressional Ukraine Caucus: "The @UkraineCaucus was briefed today by Ambassador @OMarkarova and @UKRintheUSA on Ukraine’s Drone technology and the path forward following successful attacks on Russian air bases. Thank you to @RepStenyHoyer, @RepCohen, @USRepKeating, @RepJimCosta and @RepVindman for joining.".

Marcy Kaptur has served as a member of Congress since 1983 after succeeding Ed Weber. She is recognized as one of the longest-serving women in the House of Representatives and continues to reside in Toledo, Ohio, where she was born in 1946. Kaptur earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968.
