U.S. Representative Marcy Kaptur, who has represented Ohio’s 9th district since 1983, recently highlighted local union leadership, renewable energy potential, and the U.S. Coast Guard in a series of social media posts.
On August 2, Kaptur shared her participation in a community event with United Auto Workers (UAW) members and leaders. Kaptur was born in Toledo in 1946 and continues to reside there. She earned her BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968 before beginning her long tenure in Congress representing Ohio’s 9th District.
