Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district, has recently expressed her views on several pressing issues via social media. Her statements covered topics ranging from international trade policies to geopolitical conflicts and a recent tragic accident.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Kaptur questioned President Trump's tariff policies affecting goods imported from Canada, which she emphasized as "Ohio's largest trading partner." She asked, "Why pick on the middle class and hard laboring people of the Great Lakes region?"

Later that day, Rep. Kaptur commented on international relations concerning Russia's actions under President Putin. She stated that history demonstrates unchecked tyranny does not confine itself within borders. In solidarity with Ukraine, she noted that "our @UkraineCaucus came together to say loud and clear that we pledge our full support to Ukraine to help win this illegal war."

In another post on February 5, 2025, Rep. Kaptur expressed condolences for the victims of a plane crash over the Potomac River. The incident claimed 67 lives, and she remarked with sorrowful reflection on their contributions: "We hold their families and America's figure skating communities in our thoughts, and remember the joy, dedication, and passion they all brought to people across our world."
