Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 9th district, has recently taken to social media to discuss several pressing issues. Her recent tweets address concerns over government policies and their impacts on her constituents in Northwest Ohio.

On January 30, 2025, Rep. Kaptur expressed concern over the influence of wealth in government by stating: "A government of Billionaires, by Billionaires, and for Billionaires doesn’t leave room for most anybody else." She further highlighted the potential implications of shutdowns in key federal programs and grants on communities across Northwest Ohio.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Kaptur collaborated with Senate colleague Patty Murray to address concerns regarding energy costs. In a letter sent to the Trump Administration, they sought clarification on efforts related to freezing Department of Energy investments aimed at reducing energy expenses for Americans.
